Olympic figure skating champion Kim Yu-na revealed her new gala program in Los Angeles. Kim is scheduled to perform in her first U.S. ice show in the Californian city on Oct. 2 and 3.
Kim skated two exhibition programs to “Méditation de Thaïs” by Jules Massenet, which she also performed in the medalists’ gala following the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, and “Bulletproof” by British pop group Laroux.
“Bulletproof” was premiered at an ice show in Korea in July. Legendary figure skater Michelle Kwan plans to feature two solo exhibition programs as well as a duet program with Kim to Mariah Carey’s “Hero.”
Kim’s main rival Mao Asada of Japan on Monday revealed she is training with new coach Nobuo Sato in the ice rink at Chukyo University in Toyota, Japan. Asada said, “I’d like to produce good results with Sato until the 2014 Olympics” in Sochi, Russia.
