4Chan tops Time’s 100 list

Website 4chan topped Time’s list of The World’s Most Influential Person with a total of 16,794,368 HACKED votes. The results were through an apparent hack by the founder of 4chan.org, Christopher Poole. 4chan is an image-based bulletin board where anyone can post comments and share images including Japanese anime, manga and culture to videogames, music and photography. It’s format is copied from one of the most popular forums in Japan, Futaba Channel. If you never heard of the website before, then you’ll certainly know of it now!

BTW – Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao got a larger vote total, the runner-up for the title of world’s most influential person and Malaysian politician Anwar Ibrahim, received a mere 47 on the influence scale. TIME.com only admitted that its technical team did detect and extinguish several attempts to hack the vote.
