First it Anil Kapoor who went international with Slumdog Millionaire and then created a stir recently by signing Mission: Impossible 4. Freida Pinto is making a name for herself as someone who can compete with the Hollywood heavyweights. Now it’s Sonu Sood who is all set to go international.

The baddie from the Salman Khan starrer Dabangg was recently approached by acclaimed director Ang Lee for his next film Life of Pi. Ang who had seen Sonu’s performance was apparently convinced of his acting prowess.

Speaking about Lee’s film, Sonu comments, “Yes, Ang was down in India and that’s when we met. Though right now, all I can tell you is that Ang has approached me for his film Life of Pi. Beyond this, I cannot reveal much.”

The news is also abuzz that Sonu will be seen playing the role of Pi (Piscine ‘Pi’ Molitor Patel) in the film, which is based on a fantasy adventure novel written by Yann Martel.
