Naomi Campbell set to wear fur this fall
After appearing in numerous PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) campaigns citing "I’d rather go naked than wear fur", Naomi Campbell is all set to appear in Dennis Basso’s fall ad campaign. Campbell will model Dennis Basso’s stitched together pelts.
WWD reports that the two met at his New York City store six years ago.
The designer and the model reconnected "at a Saint Moritz party" held at Badrutt’s Palace Hotel. Designer Basso hired photographer Tom Munro, stylist Patti Wilson and creative director Giovanni Bianco for the Milk Studios shoot, according to WWD..
The magazine claims the deal was inked "in the mid-six-figure dollar range."
My, are we really desperate for cash?
The ads are slated to appear in Vogue’s September issue, followed by W, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and Town & Country.
Naomi has said she was sick of PETA’s tactics towards Anna Wintour and some of her other fur wearing friends.
Either you’re a fur wearer or not, why blame an organization? Who wears fur anymore? Someone is clearly a looney tune.
