Jewelry Fit for a King

Saffronart, an auction house specializing in the fine art and jewelry of India, hosted jewelry designer Hanut Singh in a well-attended cocktail event at their Midtown gallery. Mr. Singh exuded the charm and grace befitting his royal lineage (he is the grandson of the Maharaja of Kapurthala). The jewelry were delicate but bold. Each was
a statement piece reminiscent of a bygone era. On his company’s website, Mr. Singh describes his designs as “Mughal meets art deco, art nouveau meets architecture.”
