Rain as a sexy Ninja Assassin

If you pay just a little bit of attention to the advertisements on the street or on the train, then you would definitely notice that the movie, Ninja Assassin, is coming soon. Even in Times Square, a huge billboard for Ninja Assassin has been hung just on the right side of the red ticket box. The fact that Korean pop singer, Rain (Jeong Ji-hoon) and one of the most famous directors in the world, James McTeigue (V for Vendetta, Speed Racer) shot the film together has grabbed our curiosity and attention.
(YES, I’ve been keeping my eyes on him as a Korean fan!) We had the chance to meet Rain during the Ninja Assassin promotional tour in New York City. It had been very exciting for me to wait until we had an interview with him!! You better be ready to entertain yourself throughout this Rain’s interview.

The day before we met Rain, we saw the Ninja Assassin movie at the press screening. The movie really entertained us and I was very proud of Rain’s acting. Not only because I am Korean but also because I could see how much passion and effort he put into this film. We were a little bit shocked by the action and all the fighting in the movie.

On a rainy day, we finally met Rain at a hotel near Times Square. He wasn’t the serious or shadowy Ninja you see in the movie. Rain welcomed us with very cute smile which has obviously attracted lots of fans, mostly girls. He seems to enjoy working in the film industry and we enjoyed our interview with Rain. So, it’s your turn to enjoy his interview!!

ASIANCE: Why did you want to take on Ninja Assassin?

Rain: I have loved action movies since I was young. I have always admired action stars and always wanted to imitate them. Ninja is a huge icon in Asia so I decided to give it a shot. I enjoyed shooting this film so much.

ASIANCE: There was a lot of skepticism about your career as an actor. How did you feel about that at that time and how do you feel now?

Rain: I always feel scared. It was typical filming. It was hard. Before this movie, I was very comfortable and now after this movie, I’m nervous. But now I’m really nervous…because of you!

ASIANCE: Oh really? haha!

Rain: Haha just kidding.

This is a cute interview.

ASIANCE: How do you feel about working with Asians in an American environment?

Rain: It was a good experience. There are many Asians and many Americans. We had a good relationship. The crew and actors were amazing.

ASIANCE: Were there any differences with the Korean environment and American environment?

Rain: I was comfortable and the movie making process is very similar in Korea and Hollywood. The scale is very different. Hollywood is much bigger. But I was so comfortable.

ASIANCE: What about a musical on Broadway?

Rain: Yes. I’m so interested but I want to focus on Ninja Assassin for now, because it’s so important to me.

ASIANCE: What do you do when you are not working?

Rain: I sleep. Nothing is better than sleeping. I really love sleeping.

ASIANCE: You work so hard and then you need a break right?

Rain: Yes.

ASIANCE: Who do you want to work with after?

Rain: I have a role model. I love Scarface and I love Al Pacino. I want to work with James Cameron or Spielberg. I hope!

ASIANCE: We saw the press screening last night. We were impressed!

Rain: What did you think?

ASIANCE: We liked it.

Rain: It’s unique because it’s very bloody. (laughs)

ASIANCE: Yeah it was shocking. Did you know it was going to be as violent?

Rain: Ah No. (laughs)

ASIANCE: How did you feel? Did you think it was kind of violent?

Rain: I enjoyed it!

ASIANCE: What was the hardest scene?

Rain: Everything is so hard. I love all of them! But my favorite scene is the standing push up. Did you see it? It was so hard and it was my favorite scene!

ASIANCE: I liked the car chasing. It was pretty impressive!

Rain: Thank you!

See some heavy choreography

ASIANCE: Did you have any regrets when you were doing it because it was so hard?

Rain: Nope because I did my best. I did my best. You just have to enjoy it.

ASIANCE: Did you get hurt?

Rain: Everybody took care of me after my face and body would get cut. I had lots of cuts. One day, I pretend I broke my legs..After the stunt, I said, “Owwww I broke my legs!!! I broke my legs!” People said, “Are you ok? Are you alright?” I said, “Haha! I’m just kidding!”

ASIANCE: What do you think of press in Asia vs. America?

Rain: I don’t think there is a difference.

ASIANCE: What about the Megan Fox issue? Anything you want to say?

Rain: I like her. I think she is very sexy. There is nothing better than being sexy.

Time flew! Yes, it did!!! This was one thing we noticed right after we did the interview with Rain. Overall, Rain looked very confident as he did in the movie, Ninja Assassin. His English has improved so much and we were impressed by his speaking ability. Currently, Rain is visiting other cities in North America for the promotion.

Ninja Assassin is coming next week!! Do you want to know a secret of Ninja Assassin? I ONLY say that you will be very surprised by Rain’s beautiful body. Keep your eyes on Ninja Assassin and RAIN!
