Berkeley Professor nominated to Federal Court

UC Berkeley law professor Goodwin Liu was nominated by President Barack Obama to serve on the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. The 39-year-old teaches constitutional law and education policy, and the associate dean of the law school at Berkeley. Liu must be confirmed by the U.S. Senate before becoming the only Asian-American on the 9th Circuit bench.
