Unlike his other Twitter account @CongMP, which he recently cancelled, @MannyPacquiao will be maintained by one of his staff members.
“Ngayon, staff ko na ang nagsasagot (Now, it’s my staff who answers the fans),” he told abs-cbnNEWS.com.
Although he wanted to maintain the account himself, Pacquiao said not all of those he interacts with on Twitter are pleased with what he says online.
“Dati gusto ko sana ako… pero siyempre hindi lahat nasisiyahan (Back then I wanted to maintain it… but not everyone is pleased),” he said.
Pacquiao, who also serves as congressman for the lone district of Sarangani, had an unpleasant experience with the social networking site.
Some of those who tweeted took notice of his broken English.
He later decided to delete the account after some of his Twitter followers questioned his absence in the plenary debates on the impeachment case against Ombudsman Merceditas Gutierrez.
Pacquiao was apparently annoyed that he allegedly responded negatively to the Twitter users who questioned him.
“So mabuti na ‘yung wala… ‘Wag na lang patulan. Walang distraction (So it’s better not to have a Twitter account… No distractions),” he said shortly after deleting the Twitter account.
Can’t wait for his fight on May 7th!
