Slumdog Millionaire Stars Go to Hollywood
Slumdog Millionaire’s child actors Azharuddin Mohammed Shaikh and Rubina Ali Qureshi have signed on to a Hollywood movie. They will each be paid $1,200 per day for 20-25 days of shooting, their contract says.
The latest success for the two child actors from a Mumbai slum comes nearly two years after Slumdog Millionaire created history at the Oscars.
Azharuddin and Rubina will act in the Hollywood movie Lord Owen’s Lady, Rubina’s publicist and agent Dinesh Dubey said.
Lord Owen’s Lady, is being produced by Dragons Productions (Wales) Ltd, based in London and Cardiff.
Shooting starts in early 2011.
