Jeremy Lin goes undrafted joins mini-camp
Harvard’s Jeremy Lin, who is trying to become an American-born Asian to make it in the NBA, will be joining the Mavericks for mini-camp on Monday and Tuesday and, possibly, for their summer league team in Las Vegas.
The 6-5 shooter went to school at Harvard and got his fair share of notoriety – some good and some bad – for his ethnicity at Harvard.
He’s one of several players who went undrafted last night and who is expected to go to the mini-camp.

Not true! What about Wat Misaka?
He was the first player of Asian descent and the first non-white person to play in the National Basketball Association. He was picked up by the Knicks in the 1947 draft.
Here’s are links to a story about him in the New York Times, a Wikipedia article, and the website for a documentary about him, Transcending: The Wat Misaka Story

You’re right… Also found this now: Rex Walters ( 1/2 Japanese American) and Corey Gaines (UCLA Guard), also played in the NBA. Robert Swift, whose father is half Japanese (Okinawan), was the first player of Caucasian or Asian descent to be drafted straight out of high school. All were Asians BORN in US.
Nate Robinson is also 1/8th Filipino! hahha
Filipinos are also saying that Demarcus Cousins has a Half Filipino mother.
