For 8 consecutive years the Philadelphia Phillies have been hosting an Asian-Pacific Celebration highlighting its culture and dance. This year on Friday, April 29th the celebration will continue as the Phillies take on the New York Mets at Citizen’s Bank Park and R&B Pop superstar Jay Sean throws out the first pitch.

This is the first time that a celebrity from the South Asian community will be throwing out the first pitch at a Major League Baseball game. “Although I’m British, I grew up enjoying American sports as well. It’s an honor to be asked to throw out the first pitch at the game and represent my community on such a grand scale.”

Jay Sean recently released “Hit The Lights” featuring the hottest rapper in the game today – Lil Wayne. The single surged to #2 on the iTunes chart the week of release and reached the top 15 on the radio charts.
