‘Ghost’ Reincarnates in Japanese Remake

Japanese director Taro Ohtani will be remaking the beloved Hollywood film, Ghost, in his film directorial debut.

Ohtani, most noted for directing TV series, will be reinterpreting the popular film in modern scenes. The upcoming movie, Love and Soul, will feature Korean superstar Song Seung Hun and Japanese actress Nanako Matsushima. They will appear in the roles made famous by Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore. Matsushima is best known outside of Japan for her role in the horror flick, Ring.

Love and Soul is expected to be released in November in Japan and Korea. No dates have been set for a North American release yet.

Ghost has earned over $200 million worldwide since it’s first hit theatres in 1990. It continues to be one of the most loved movies of all times.
