What Famous Asian Would You Want To Meet?

I can answer this question very quickly and easily, although this used to not be the case.

In the past, I would have said “Jet Li” almost as fast as he can kick my head off my shoulders. While I still look forward to meeting him one day soon, and working him into one of my films (hehe), there is one that I really have grown an interest for, one that is a bit of an anomaly to me, but at the same time, I identify with: Ayumi Hamasaki

I can easily tell you how I “fell” for her. I came across one of her videos one day, a live performance of “Dearest,” and it struck my heart. She was in tears at many points, and was barely able to sing in places, especially at the beginning and near the end. The tears streaming down her face near the end still brings tears to my eyes now, now more so than before since I am more familiar with her and her music. According some some sources – and I haven’t been able to adequately confirm this yet – her estranged father had passed and that song was about him. I cannot say one way or the other yet if this is true, but since I have a daughter who means the world to me, seeing this girl crying on stage brings me to tears and moves me, as well.

So, that’s it. I want meet Ayumi. I actually have some questions for her, and would love to talk with her for awhile.

But, mostly, I really just want to give her a big hug.
