Taiwanese sensation Lin Yu Chun’s first “live” show in S’pore

He is touted as Taiwan’s answer to Susan Boyle, who gained fame in the “Britain’s Got Talent” show. And now 24-year-old Lin Yu Chun is in Singapore, where he presented his first “live” show at St James’ Dragonfly entertainment outlet on Sunday.

Lin Yu Chun, a competitor on Taiwan’s popular singing show “Super Star Avenue”, wowed the world with his pitch-perfect rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”.

His star rose even higher when the rendition and his other songs became a sensation on YouTube in April.

Since then, he has been compared to Britain’s Susan Boyle, the 48-year-old who shot to fame after singing “I Dreamed a Dream”.

Like Susan Boyle, Lin Yu Chun has also inked a deal with Sony Music.

He will record an album of Chinese and English songs, which will be released in July next year.
