Revolution Films has unveiled a teaser trailer, a rather charming and pleasant non-dialogue teaser, for Michael Winterbottom’s Trishna, starring Freida Pinto and Riz Ahmed. The romantic drama is a unique spin on Tess of the D’Urbervilles, set against a contemporary Indian backdrop. Pinto stars as the titular Trishna, a young woman who is seduced by the wealthy son of a property developer. As the romance develops, their relationship becomes increasingly sordid and volatile. It’s quite a lovely trailer, beautiful could describe it, but be warned it’s very contemporary Indian. Enjoy!
