Tseng holds off Wie to win LPGA Thailand

World number one Yani Tseng of Taiwan shot a six-under-par 66 to seal a five-stroke victory over Michelle Wie at the season-opening LPGA Thailand tournament on Sunday.

Tseng ended with a four-round total of 15-under-par 273 in the $1.45 million tournament at the Siam Country Club Old Course.

South Korea’s Kim In-Kyung (71) and Australia’s Karrie Webb (69) were in joint third spot. It is the sixth career LPGA Tour victory for Tseng and follows consecutive wins on the Ladies European Tour in Australia.
