Miriam Yeung opens up about old flames
Hong Kong singer-actress Miriam Yeung revealed that she once dated singer Eason Chan, and opened up about a troubled period after breaking up with actor Ronald Cheng in a recent magazine interview, reported Hong Kong media. Yeung said she had known Chan way back when they filled up the application forms for a singing contest they both participated in. They dated after joining the same record label.
“I was good friends with Chan. Because we were both from (record label) Capital Artists, at the beginning, we had a relationship,” said the 37-year-old star. When asked why Chan had refused to admit to the media that they were in a relationship at the time, Yeung simply said that “men aren’t as brave as women”.
Yeung went on to give details of the troubled times she went through after her high-profile separation from then-boyfriend Ronald Cheng seven years ago. “After breaking up [with Cheng], I was 30 and everything was great, but I wasn’t happy. I would often go drinking with my friends. But even then, I was not happy in the group. “At the time, I wanted to get this award and that award, thinking that I would be happy.
