Rain, who will enlist on October 11 to serve his compulsory military service, has announced that he will hold a special free concert at an open stage in Seoul on Sunday, reported Korean media.

“I’m glad to have a chance to meet fans for the last time before my conscription starts,” said the 28-year-old star through the concert’s organizers.

The street concert, Rain’s first, will also mark the end of the Gangnam Fashion Festival.

Korean police will block off seven of the 14 roads near Rain’s concert venue for two hours to accommodate his gig.

Rain will perform his greatest hits at the concert, which is expected to attract legions of his fans from both within Korea and across the region.
