Lady Gaga wore a creation by designer Tarun Tahiliani. The white, fitted bodysuit with side panel cutouts, encrusted with heavy gold and Swarvoski chains, was meant to be worn with a stylized, draped concept sari in lamé and chiffon. Gaga developed a variation that came apart in layers on the stage .

For her press conference earlier in the day, Gaga won plaudits by styling her hair in a bun with the streaks of the Indian flag’s colors of saffron, white and green.
