This season, Way Zen was inspired by a walk she took in the city park during a snowy day. “New York only snowed once this season; I was so happy to be caught in it. I was drunk by the snow and dreaming of Snow Angels.” She recalled.

This runway show revolved around a wintry world that is both fantastic and austere. The Snow Fairy appeared in hand-embroidered organic yarn dresses and sculpted flora skirts blossom with Winter Blooms. The collection was balanced with simple, streamlined shirts and signature “Origami – Geometry” hand folded cashmere coats.

With a strong desire to demonstrate how nature can bring happiness to our modern lives, Way used every kind of handcraftsmanship to create the Song for Nature collections. Way Zen’s goal is to use clothing as a tool for people to connect with nature. Pieces of Songs for Nature collection are made of natural fabric cashmere, wool, cotton and Shantung, in warm colors of bread, butter, ripe grapes, deep black and snow white.

As our digital world moves faster and faster, Songs for Nature reminds us to take a moment to experience and to be gentle with the beauty of nature, and to share our planet with all beings because we are a part of all of it.

This season JSONG International Inc. marks its 15th Anniversary. To celebrate this occasion, Way Zen invited the audience who attended the runway show to participate in designing a special coat with each person’s favorite word. JSONG has been growing organically since it was founded in 1997. JSONG makes the world’s most beautiful embroidered clothes.
