Jeremy Lin is inspiring so many people! But what he is ultimately inspiring the most is the younger generation of Asian American basketball stars.

For example, high school basketballer Zach Woo, who is half Chinese.

“He’s come out of nowhere. He went to Harvard. He was a benchwarmer,” said Zach of Lin. “He came out of nowhere and had 38 points one night, a double-double another night, a game-winning shot. It’s a huge story.”

Zach Woo has a story of his own.

Zach was a rising sophomore, who was cut by his basketball coach. He could have quit basketball but instead, like Jeremy Lin, Zach persevered.

“I’m a guy like him, smart enough to do anything I really want to do,” said Zach. “He’s kind of given everyone else a chance that isn’t looked at very often.“
