Artist Robert Vargas and Far East Movement collaborated and gave fans a free experience of both Music and Art like never before at the Art Walk.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Vargas painted a mural of the chart-topping group in his popular signature style followed by a high-energy Free Wired performance by FM.<\/strong> Once the mural was painted, FM started their performance while the mural dried in the background by the end of their set. \u201cThe finished painting symbolized staying present and capturing the moment,\u201d states Vargas. He continues, \u201cthis is a collaboration of exploring artistic dialogue in the community by making our collective art accessible in the true spirit of expression.\u201d<\/p>\n

The thriving Downtown LA scene heavily influenced Far East Movement and Vargas where they both have hometown roots.<\/strong> FM invited Vargas to make a cameo appearance in the music video for their platinum selling smash hit single \u201cRocketeer\u201d as an artist that designs a jet pack. The music video was shot in the neighborhood where FM and Vargas grew up. Hailed by many as the \u201cmayor of the art walk\u201d Vargas has been a fixture since it\u2019s inception and always draws large crowds whenever he paints live.<\/p>\n
