In a letter to the News, Annie\u2019s father, Hoang Le, said he is not involved in the suit between his daughter\u2019s estate and Yale.<\/strong> Two of Le\u2019s friends and another of her relatives have also contacted the News since Sept. 9 to express their disagreement with the suit.<\/p>\n

There has been no indication that Le left behind a will, and if that is the case, only her parents have the right to manage their child\u2019s estate, according to two Connecticut attorneys. Annie\u2019s mother, Vivian Le, has been the face of the lawsuit filed on behalf of her daughter\u2019s estate.<\/p>\n

But James Bui, Vivian Le\u2019s brother and Annie Le\u2019s uncle, says his sister does not speak for the family.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI wish there\u2019s something more I can do to prevent my sister, Vivian Le, from following through with this suit, but I\u2019m only an uncle who loves his niece as if she was my own child,\u201d Bui wrote to the News on Monday. \u201cLegally, there\u2019s nothing I myself can do to block my sister from going through with the suit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bui and another family friend who asked not to be identified said Tuyet Bui and Robert Nguyen, the aunt and uncle who raised Annie also opposed the suit. Minh Nguyen, another uncle, said he is not involved with the complaint.<\/p>\n

Vivian Le appeared last Friday on NBC\u2019s Today Show alongside her lawyer, Joseph Tacopina, to discuss the case. <\/strong><\/p>\n
