That&#8217;s the message behind Princeton University&#8217;s &#8220;Art of Science&#8221; competition, in which the school&#8217;s students, faculty, research staff and alumni submit images made during scientific research that are also visually striking.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p><strong>Above is the photo Peeking inside a generator:  The colorful coils on the campus generator above were visible for a few days during its first 10-year preventive maintenance shutdown. The generator can produce enough electricity to power about 60% of the peak load of buildings connected to the campus grid<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This year&#8217;s competition, with the theme of &#8220;Intelligent Design,&#8221; drew 168 submissions, depicting subjects ranging from neurons to nanostructures to magnetic fields. A panel chose 56 works for the final exhibition, on display at the university through November 2012.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/article\/SB10001424052970204720204577126594000364840.html?mod=WSJ_LifeStyle_Lifestyle_5\">SOURCE<\/a><br \/>\n<!--break--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Science can be beautiful.
