{"id":12093,"date":"2012-01-26T00:01:29","date_gmt":"2012-01-26T00:01:29","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2025-10-13T20:43:16","modified_gmt":"2025-10-13T20:43:16","slug":"feast-of-the-black-dragon-with-kevin-leong-and-hennessy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asiancemagazine.com\/?p=12093","title":{"rendered":"Feast of the Black Dragon with Kevin Leong and Hennessy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>On Monday, Hennessy celebrated the Year of the Dragon at the acclaimed Buddakan restaurant in downtown Manhattan. <\/strong>This small dinner was hosted by fashion designer <strong>Kevin \u201cSAER\u201d Leong of Origami<\/strong> and celebrities including <strong>Russell Simmons, Andre Harrell, Travis Beckum and Jim Jones joined in the evening\u2019s festivities.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cHennessy Privil\u00e8ge\u2019s Limited Edition NyX bottle embodies the Year of the Dragon \u2014 it\u2019s luxurious, bold and a symbol of legends,\u201d says Jennifer Yu, Director of Communications, Hennessy. \u201cNamed after NyX, the goddess of the night, the silver bottle reflects the moon\u2019s shine and even glows under a black light. <strong>What better way to toast this stylish Lunar New Year than with fashion designer and longtime Hennessy fan Kevin Saer Leong?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Leong debuted his line during New York\u2019s Fashion Week in September 2011.<\/strong> Origami is his private label collection inspired by Chinese culture and the label\u2019s namesake art of paper folding.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Additionally, Kevin is currently the Senior Vice President Creative Director of Simmons Design Group.<\/strong> In this role, he oversees the design for all of Russell Simmons\u2019s brands previously including Baby Phat, Phat Farm, Run Athletics, Simmons Jewelry Company, and as of current, Argyle Culture, American Classics and Atman.
