Considering the news of Heidi Klum and Seal’s decision to divorce, just wanted to write about my favorite interracial couples – mainly Asian interracial coupling. I really wanted it to be my top five, but it was like pulling teeth with couples I actually adored. Three out of the four I have listed have Black males, figures haha. Trust me I didn’t mean it to turn out that way, but I couldn’t think of many off the top of my head except for these. Whether they’re together or not, married or dating, I adore them for one reason or another:<\/p>\n
1) Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom (married) – Their relationship seems genuine. I like them because they take their relationship sincerely because A) they got married first, B) then decided to have children. I wouldn’t put divorce past them, considering everyone is getting divorced nowadays, but for as long as they stay together, I wish them well. New season of “Khloe and Lamar” starts Sunday, Feb. 19 at 10\/9 c. Woot woot! Plug, plug.. because you know I’ll be watching. **There was a dispute between my boyfriend and I on whether you would consider Armenian to be Middle Eastern or European. For as much as I would call it, I think Armenian is Middle Eastern; take it how you want.**<\/p>\n
2) Connie Chung and Maury Povich (married) – “Maury” was one of my favorite shows growing up – before it got uber trashy. I was really young when I first heard that Maury was married to Connie Chung and was so delighted to know he had an Asian wife. I want to say this was one of the first times I actually noticed interracial marriages – weird I know. <\/p>\n
3) Kimora Lee and Djimon Hounsou (married) – Good wholesome family every time I see them together. Also love the fact that she’s still friends with her ex-husband, Russell Simmons. They really show how divorce and re-marriage can work with new spouses. Plus have you seen Kimora lately? Hot tamale, she really kicked her body into gear after that baby. It looks like Kimora is happy and not worried about being fabulous all the time with Djimon – does that mean no gold toilets? <\/p>\n
4) Karrueche Tran and Chris Brown (dating\/dated?) – Whether Chris Brown had a terrible past with Rihanna, is still hooking up with Rihanna, or dating Karrueche <--in no exact order lol.. I'm still head over heels to know that Chris Brown is dating\/has dated a half-Vietnamese girl (for obvious reasons), but also because they're so cute together! Yes, I Youtube stalked them to see if they were really dating when I first heard, and I approve. (I know I'll probably get people who will say that I'm stupid since he was abusive, but if he truly meant he was sorry and has learned from his mistakes, he has probably grown up from that). \n\nMan, when I tell you I was pulling teeth trying to find celebrity Asian couples that I liked, I meant it. I found an interesting article on why you may see less celebrity Asian couples in the U.S. in general, so imagine the difficulty of finding celebrity Asian IR couples. It came from a blog called \"the Fighting 44s.\" Looks like the blog retired, but still has good reads. \n\nI've got the list below if you don't feel like reading, but you're gonna have to read the article if you want full reasoning:\n1. Lack of Asian American celebrities.\n2. Lack of Asian American male celebrities.\n3. Privacy.\n4.
