Two years ago, we met Francis at a Nylon Magazine party<\/a>. We knew it was only a matter of time before he would start gracing the top runways for the top designers!<\/em><\/p>\n

He has since shot the Gap Autumn 2011 look book and most recently the Tommy Hilfiger winter campaign. Editorial credits include Volt, Schon and Rodeo magazine. He has also walked for Y-3, Maison Martin Margiela and Loden Dager among many others<\/p>\n

Brighton, UK born Francis Lane (Premier Models) was signed off the back of entering a modeling competition for United Colors of Benetton, which saw him go on to shoot the campaign with Josh Olins.<\/p>\n

Francis is half Chinese, half English and he did this follow up interview with us from his vacation in India.<\/strong> We thought he would be perfect for the Chinese themed edition. Thanks Francis!<\/p>\n

ASIANCE: Which parent is Chinese?<\/h3>\n

Francis:<\/b> My mum is Chinese.<\/p>\n

ASIANCE: How did your mom incorporate your Chinese heritage growing up? Was it a strong influence? <\/h3>\n

Francis:<\/b> Mainly through celebrating Chinese New Year and keeping in touch regularly with our large extended family. She is from a family of six so I have lots of cousins. We would always meet up and eat traditional Chinese food. However, it wasn\u2019t such a strong influence because I am the fourth generation in England. My great grand parents moved over.<\/p>\n
