{"id":12437,"date":"2012-02-27T01:02:24","date_gmt":"2012-02-27T01:02:24","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2012-02-27T01:02:31","modified_gmt":"2012-02-27T01:02:31","slug":"Lucy-Liu-stars-in-Sherlock-Holmes-pilot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asiancemagazine.com\/?p=12437","title":{"rendered":"Lucy Liu stars in Sherlock Holmes pilot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>For the first time, Holmes&#8217; famed sidekick, Watson, will be played by a woman with Lucy Liu nabbing the part, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> has confirmed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Described as a modern take on the cases of Sherlock Holmes, with the detective now living in New York City, Dexter killer Jonny Lee Miller has been tapped to star in the project.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Liu&#8217;s casting continues the Charlie&#8217;s Angels co-star&#8217;s return to the small screen with the actress currently appearing on TNT&#8217;s Southland.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cI\u2019ve loved being on Southland because it\u2019s not a pampered environment,&#8221;<\/strong> Liu told THR at Saturday&#8217;s Independent Spirit Awards. &#8220;You\u2019re really doing it and you\u2019re doing it live. Sometimes you don\u2019t even know how you got there in that scene! There\u2019s something really wonderful about that. I like being able to do indie films and TV.
