I’ve been blessed in so many ways and lately its been showing how much I have been. There is so much that has happened to me in this past year and it started all with the Asiance interview that Jaymie offered me in July 2011.<\/B> I was so excited to start my fall semester at Seminole State College because I couldn’t wait to tell my friends that I was being interviewed by an Asian American magazine that talked about women’s successes.<\/B><\/p>\n
Then I remember the next step I took was getting an internship at Asiance and because I wanted it to get an internship here with Asiance, I got it. I originally thought of it as an opportunity to get ahead of my peers, but it slowly became more that when I started interviewing Jin, Geologic and many other people that I have to this date.<\/B> They all had a story behind them in where they were going and why they are to this day. The internship became a humbling experience to know the real person without any filter. I always saw these people at face value, but it was different when I interviewed them. They were actually real people behind this facade that the media has created.<\/B><\/p>\n
My experience doesn’t stop there and I don’t know where this experience will lead me too.<\/B> But right now I’m just glad to know that this internship has given me a lot more than I would have ever expect. It made me realize that you can’t get anything without hard work and that dreams can come true if you really want it too.<\/B> You just gotta believe in yourself and work at it every single day. Because of this internship, I am talking to people who I never thought I would and I’m working on projects by myself that I never thought I would.<\/B> I gained the confidence to talk to Uploaded: The Asian American Movement and the right opportunity came for me to take it. And in the mist of all the great luck I’ve had with my internship, I got accepted into University of Central Florida. I would have never thought that such great luck with an internship that I would also be blessed with getting my Associates and on my way of getting my Bachelor’s. I hope that I do get a position here at Asiance and can’t wait what my future holds for me. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
