{"id":13859,"date":"2012-08-15T04:08:37","date_gmt":"2012-08-15T04:08:37","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2012-08-15T04:08:37","modified_gmt":"2012-08-15T04:08:37","slug":"New-Nike-deal-awaits-Pacquiao","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asiancemagazine.com\/?p=13859","title":{"rendered":"New Nike deal awaits Pacquiao"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Manny Pacquiao\u2019s adviser Michael Koncz revealed that Nike has some new deals in store for the eight-division world champion.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Koncz told the Manila Standard that he talked to executives of Nike\u2019s Corporate Office in their headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon and that they felt the comments by Ultimate Fighting Championship\u2019s Dana White that Nike had dropped Pacquiao were \u201cpretty amusing,\u201d but certainly not true.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThe Pacquiao line is selling very well. They have some other things going, that would involve Pacquiao,\u201d<\/strong> Koncz quoted Nike officials as telling him.<\/p>\n<p>White claimed that Nike was shutting down the Manny Pacquiao line and starting up the Jon Jones line, in a multi-year deal with the UFC champion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>White said in MMA Weekly that he didn\u2019t know why they shut down the Pacquiao line, which was \u201cselling like hot cakes.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>But Boxingscene.com quoted Fred Sternburg, Pacquiao\u2019s publicist, who branded White\u2019s claims as \u201c100 percent false.
