Cheyenne Woods may be known as “Tiger Woods’ niece” to most in the golf world, but following her first professional win on Thursday afternoon, she appears to be well on her way to breaking away from the title and making a name for herself as a future star in women’s golf.<\/p>\n
The 22-year-old was able to weather a storm that pushed the final round of the 54-hole SunCoast Ladies Series event, at LPGA International, to Thursday and win by four shots. Some may point out that the win occurred on a tour that’s the women’s version of the Hooters Tour. <\/p>\n
Of course, Uncle Tiger was proud of his niece’s accomplishments; he sent out a congratulatory tweet following her win that already had 637 retweets by Thursday evening.<\/strong><\/p>\n Congrats to my niece Cheyenne on winning her first professional event on SunCoast Ladies Series Tour!
