How much are Asian-American group Aziatix worth? According to Lil Wayne’s label, $11.3 million.<\/strong><\/p>\n

At the annual Grammy party for Cash Money, whose roster include Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and Drake, the label’s co-founder Ronald “Slim” Williams entered the party with the group and announced the group as his latest signee.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Aziatix, comprised of members Eddie Shin, Flowsik and Nicky Lee (with K-pop veteran Jae Chong producing),<\/strong> have worked with artists on both sides of the world including Ice-T, G.NA, JYJ, Lyn and more. They’ve developed a strong following of their own: holding concerts in the U.S. and Japan and racking up millions of YouTube views (2011’s “Slippin’ Away” [below] has more than 1.2 million views).<\/p>\n

We interviewed them when they were in NYC<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The stats were enough to secure a $11.3 million dollar signing for the boys, which Yahoo! Malaysia reports as “the biggest record deal between an Asian-American hip-hop group and an overseas company.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cash Money A&R\/manager Joshua Berkman told Billboard it wasn’t “Gangnam Style” that inspired this signing. “We were courting Aziatix before Psy broke, but that certainly helped,\u201d he said. Berkman added the boys kick off a new worldwide focus for the label, which includes interest in even more Asian acts. We\u2019re reaching out more internationally now\u2014it\u2019s a global thing.”<\/p>\n

A new music video for a song produced by RedOne (who helmed Minaj’s “Starships”) is said to be coming soon.<\/p>\n
