Vantan Tokyo presented their Fall\/Winter 2013 collection at Lincoln Center tonight. Vantan Tokyo started as a part of Vantan Design Institute\u2019s incubation projects in 2009, setting a stage for the market debut of students, who are still in school, as well as creating a platform for them to launch their creative career. <\/p>\n
The show was made up of three lines\u2014Nelly Hohmann, Eisunoge and Sagan. Each line has different style and features. <\/p>\n
Nelly Hohmann combines Western and Asian perception of beauty and aesthetics<\/strong> by creating versatile classics, sharp lines and refined detailing that lead to contemporary pieces with a long life value. It stands for the cosmopolitan, open-minded and confidant woman. <\/p>\n Eisunoge is a brand established by Kei Tsunoji.<\/strong> His creations are high end yet reflective of Tokyo street style. The naming of the brand uses his name but is without his initials. Breaking down his own name, Tsunoji communicates the brand concept of \u201cimperfect scenes.\u201d Every season, his theme expresses the advancement of incomplete scenes in the media. <\/p>\n Sagan \u2014 the name is inspired by Francois Sagan, a French novelist whose life was free-spirited and scandalous.<\/strong> The designer\u2019s view of the world is expressed through her philosophy of women and the mood that surrounds them.
