Lo will be based in the company\u2019s headquarters in New York.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With more than 18 years of experience in public affairs and corporate communications and organizational development, <strong>Lo also will be responsible for leading Nielsen\u2019s outreach programs in Asian-American communities.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In her new role, Lo will lead efforts to enhance Nielsen\u2019s outreach with various stakeholders, including non-profit and philanthropic organizations, special interest and civic groups, and business and industry partners.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are delighted that Betty has joined our public affairs team. I know that her broad range of professional experiences will be a major asset in our important work with various Nielsen stakeholders,\u201d said Don Lowery, senior vice president, government and public affairs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cShe also has a tremendous track record in working with Asian-American communities and organizations throughout her career<\/strong>, and I am confident that Betty will be an outstanding leader in our strategic public affairs efforts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining Nielsen, <strong>Lo served as senior manager of organization development for Newell-Rubbermaid in Atlanta<\/strong>, where she successfully led all organizational development strategies and change management solutions in support of the company\u2019s global supply chain programs, along with sales and operations planning initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Lo holds an executive Master of Business Administration degree from Emory University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Business and Political Science from Wesleyan College. As part of her successful and diverse career in public affairs and corporate communications, Lo held progressively responsible management positions with The Coca-Cola Company, the world\u2019s largest beverage company. As an active member of the community, Ms. Lo serves as a mentor to young professionals and on <strong>the board of the National Association of Asian American Professionals \u2013 Atlanta.
