Frieda Pinto announced that she and her co-star James France will not return to reprise their roles in the sequel of ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 28-year-old actress, who played a primatologist, Caroline Aranha, in the 2011 film will not be part of the ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’, reported Digitalspy.<\/p>\n

It has been reported that the producers are moving ahead with a whole new cast.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“The sequel’s on, but we’re not in it. It’s a whole new cast. It would have been great to (do the sequel), but I don’t know how they would bring our characters back in. But we’ll do something else,” Pinto said.<\/p>\n

‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ is directed by Cloverfield’s Matt Reeves and will star Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Judy Greer, while Andy Serkis will reprise his role as Caesar the chimp.<\/p>\n

The film is due to hit theatres in May 2014.<\/strong>
