{"id":15732,"date":"2013-07-02T04:07:20","date_gmt":"2013-07-02T04:07:20","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2013-07-02T04:07:20","modified_gmt":"2013-07-02T04:07:20","slug":"Asian-American-Corporate-Employees-Dedicated-But-Often-Don-t-Fit-In","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asiancemagazine.com\/?p=15732","title":{"rendered":"Asian American Corporate Employees Dedicated, But Often Don&#8217;t Fit In"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to the Asia Society&#8217;s 2013 Asian Pacific American Corporate Survey released at the Diversity Leadership Forum in New York, <strong>90 percent of Asian Pacific Americans (APAs) working in corporate environments said they &#8220;really care about their company&#8217;s overall success.&#8221;<\/strong> Meanwhile, over 40 percent of the survey pool indicated they either don&#8217;t feel a sense of belonging as an APA employee of their company or are indifferent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>Fifty percent of the APA population over the age of 25 has a bachelor\u2019s degree and 20.7 percent has a professional degree<\/strong>, both nearly double the U.S. average,\u201d noted Asia Society&#8217;s Mike Kulma. \u201cTheir overall job satisfaction and engagement are critical to the success of U.S. businesses. As Asia Society\u2019s survey proves, cultural and religious acceptance is the main driver of engagement among this group.
