{"id":15993,"date":"2013-08-18T23:08:04","date_gmt":"2013-08-18T23:08:04","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2013-08-19T03:08:02","modified_gmt":"2013-08-19T03:08:02","slug":"Godfrey-Gao-s-Hollywood-debut-The-Mortal-Instruments-comes-to-theaters-August-21","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asiancemagazine.com\/?p=15993","title":{"rendered":"Godfrey Gao&#8217;s Hollywood debut The Mortal Instruments comes to theaters August 21"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><B>Taiwanese Canadian actor\/model Godfrey Gao embarks on his first English-language role in this summer&#8217;s &#8216;The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones&#8217;, starring Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, Kevin Zegers, and Jemima West.<\/B> The film is an adaptation of Cassandra Clare&#8217;s popular fantasy adventure novel, and <B>Godfrey Gao plays the 800-year-old Magnus Bane, the High Warlock of Brooklyn, who is half demon, half human and known for throwing grand parties.<\/B><\/p>\n<p>Gao is known for acting in Taiwanese films and TV dramas including Say Yes, The Queen of SOP, and Volleyball Lover. <strong>He was also touted as the first Asian male supermodel after he was signed as Louis Vuitton&#8217;s first Asian face in 2011.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><B>The second film of the series, &#8216;The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes&#8217;
