Jane has been a very strong supporter of a ban on horse-drawn carriages, having addressed this issue several times on her TV news show Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell. Senator Tony Avella introduced the first ever bill to ban horse-drawn carriages in 2007 in the City Council. There is currently a bill in the State Senate to ban horse-drawn carriages. Without Tony, this issue would not have moved forward.<\/p>\n
