{"id":16248,"date":"2013-10-21T02:10:53","date_gmt":"2013-10-21T02:10:53","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2013-10-21T02:10:53","modified_gmt":"2013-10-21T02:10:53","slug":"Woods-considers-legal-action-against-golf-analyst","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asiancemagazine.com\/?p=16248","title":{"rendered":"Woods considers legal action against golf analyst"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Tiger is considering taking legal action against Brandel Chamblee after the golf analyst suggested Woods was a cheat.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Woods\u2019 agent, <strong>Mark Steinberg, explained the World No.1\u2019s team was furious at the comments after Chamblee, a former PGA Tour winner, said them<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s nothing you can call a golfer worse than a cheater,\u201d Steinberg said. \u201cThis is the most deplorable thing I have seen. I\u2019m not one for hyperbole, but this is absolutely disgusting. <strong>Calling him a cheater?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>ummmmmm??<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ll be shocked, stunned if something is not done about this. Something has to be done. There are things that just don\u2019t go without response. It\u2019s atrocious&#8230;. [we] have to give thought to legal action.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chamblee is principally contracted with Golf Channel and it is understood there has already been a complaint made to Golf.com \u2013 the website which ran the story.<\/p>\n<p>When asked to comment on players\u2019 seasons, <strong>Chamblee awarded Woods an \u201cF\u201d, citing four controversies, even though the World No.1 was awarded the PGA Player of the Year.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Chamblee then went on to cite an anecdote in which Woods cheated in a school exam and was given an \u201cF\u201d after an initial mark of 100.<\/strong> Chamblee branded Woods \u201ccavalier with the rules\u201d and crossed out \u201c100\u201d to replace it with an \u201cF\u201d when grading his season.<\/p>\n<p>Woods was hit with three two-shot penalties last season and was at the center of another storm at the Players where it was claimed he took an illegal drop which wasn&#8217;t penalized.<\/p>\n<p>Read more: http:\/\/www.golfmagic.com<br \/>\n<!--break--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tiger is considering taking legal action against Brandel Chamblee after the golf analyst suggested Woods was a cheat.
