Lucy Liu has revealed that her role in Sherlock Holmes drama Elementary is a ‘nice break’ for her.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The actress – who plays Dr Joan Watson opposite Jonny Lee Miller in the US series based on the adventures of Arthur Conan Doyle’s legendary sleuth – says the mystery show is less physically demanding than her movie roles.<\/p>\n

“I have enough scars and grazes now,” she told The Radio Times.<\/p>\n

“You know how when kids are growing up, you have little lines on your wall to show how tall they are I can show the different career paths I have taken through surgeries.”<\/p>\n

Liu’s role in Elementary is more of an amble compared to the physically tough roles she’s previously taken on in movies.<\/p>\n

The actress played Alex Munday in Charlie’s Angels and Charlie’s Angels:<\/strong> Full Throttle as well as crime boss and assassin O-Ren Ishii in Quentin Tarantino’s two Kill Bill films.<\/p>\n

“I have been doing two decades of action, so [Elementary] is a little bit of a nice break for me,” she added.<\/p>\n

Elementary airs on Sky Living in the UK and is said to return sometime in the new year.<\/p>\n
