{"id":16610,"date":"2014-01-10T19:01:55","date_gmt":"2014-01-10T19:01:55","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2025-10-13T20:43:11","modified_gmt":"2025-10-13T20:43:11","slug":"gold-medalists-meet-golden-globes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asiancemagazine.com\/?p=16610","title":{"rendered":"Gold medalists meet Golden Globes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Top Hollywood Celebrities will Host Olympic Legends on Sunday, January 12 at the NBC\/Universal Golden Globes Party.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The second-annual <strong>\u201cGold Meets Golden\u201d Globes Event<\/strong> will be hosted by a variety of Hollywood elite who are passionate about the Olympic and Paralympic Games, <strong>including Frank Marshall, Kathleen Kennedy, Ryan Kavanaugh, Bradley Cooper, Mark Wahlberg, Sofia Vergara, Adrien Brody, Chelsea Handler, Kerry Washington, Owen Wilson and Arnold Schwarzenegger.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 2014 event will continue to carry the torch initially lit by 2013 hosts <strong>Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Jon Bon Jovi, Stacy Keibler and Ryan Kavanaugh.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Hollywood team will join forces with popular and legendary Olympians including water polo player Tony Azevedo; gymnasts Mary Lou Retton, Nadia Comaneci, Bart Conner, Gabby Douglas, Carly Patterson, Nastia Liukin and Jake Dalton; figure skater Sasha Cohen; speed skaters <strong>Apolo Anton Ohno<\/strong>, Bonnie Blair and Dan Jansen; Paralympian sprint runner Jarryd Wallace, track &#038; field\u2019s Bruce Jenner, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Alyson Felix, Carmelita Jeter, Will Claye and DeeDee Trotter; diver Greg Louganis; swimmers  <strong>Nathan Adrian<\/strong>, Rebecca Soni, Eric Shanteau, John Naber, Jessica Hardy and Summer Sanders; freeskier Nick Goepper; fencer Tim Morehouse; beach volleyball players Kerri Walsh Jennings, Misty May Treanor, April Ross and Jen Kessy; original \u2018Dream Team\u2019 basketball player Magic Johnson, and ice hockey player Caitlin Cahow (recently announced as members of President Barack Obama\u2019s Presidential Delegation for the Opening Ceremony of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games).  More Olympian and Paralympian names will be announced shortly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>It would be nice to see some of the women figure skaters in attendance. Michelle Kwan?
