Michelle Wie carded a five-under-par 67 in the final round of the Lotte Championship, which was enough to hand the Hawaiian her first LPGA win since 2010.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Starting the final round four shots behind overnight leader Angela Stanford, but the American’s final round 73 saw her drop down to 12-under-par, two shots behind Wie.<\/p>\n

“It feels good,” said 24-year-old Wie after winning her first-ever victory on American soil, having won the 2009 Lorena Ochoa Invitational in Mexico the Canadian Women’s Open in 2010 previously.<\/p>\n

“This is a dream come true for me. I think I’ll have more confidence going forward.<\/p>\n

“I was just being patient and having a blast.I had so much fun.”<\/p>\n

The former teen prodigy has been in superb from this year, finishing in the top 10 on three occasions, including a second place at the Kraft Nabisko Championships.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“She’s been playing great,” admitted Stanford after the round.<\/p>\n

“She’s having a great year, so it was bound to happen. I just happened to be the one that caught the buzz saw.”<\/p>\n

The rest of the field was dominated by South Korean players, as Inbee Park (67) finished on 11-under-par in third place.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Her compatriot Hyo Joo Kim carded a 71 to finish on 10-under, while two more Koreans – Chella Choi (67) and So Yeon Ruu (69) ended on nine-under in a tie for fifth place.<\/strong>
