Elliot Rodger\u2019s divorced parents, Hollywood director Peter Rodger and Steven Spielberg pal Li Chin, laid him to rest<\/strong>, sources tell RadarOnline.com<\/a> exclusively.<\/p>\n

\u201cElliot was cremated after his body was released from the coroner\u2019s office in Santa Barbara,\u201d a source tells Radar of the late 22-year-old, who infamously chronicled his plans for the killing spree in a twisted manifesto sent to friends and family hours before the murders. \u201cHis immediate family held a private ceremony when his ashes were turned over.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to insiders, the family is also planning to hold a separate funeral overseas later this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe plan is for a ceremony to take place in England, where he was born,\u201d the source adds.<\/p>\n

Though he mourns Elliot\u2019s death, Peter- The Hunger Games second unit director- says he\u2019s paralyzed by grief about his son\u2019s innocent victims.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think about the victims and I think about what he did,\u201d Peter told Barbara Walters in a 20\/20 interview Friday night. \u201cI wish I could turn the clock back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Peter, who received death threats after his son\u2019s murders, met with Richard Martinez, the father of shooting victim Christopher Martinez, on June 1 to discuss gun control policy.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf they did do a gun check, they would know that Elliot had bought three automatic weapons,\u201d Peter told Walters. \u201cThey would have the right to seize him for 24 hours, and his whole scheme would\u2019ve been over and thwarted.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elliot was half Asian, Chinese, from his mom’s side.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rodger didn’t like being Asian,<\/strong> and he saw it as a flaw in his quest for women–especially his preference. The murderer preferred blondes.
