Arrow is getting some new blood for its third season, and that starts with Devon Aoki.<\/strong> According to Deadline<\/a>, the actress and model has joined the cast of Arrow season 3 in a major recurring role.<\/p>\n

Aoki will play Tatsu Yamashiro, a katana-wielding martial arts expert who served as a mentor to Oliver Queen during his time in Hong Kong.<\/strong> Much like Shado, she will be featured in the show’s flashbacks, which moved off the island at the end of season 2.<\/p>\n

This marks Aoki’s first ever TV role. Since becoming an actress, she has appeared in films like 2 Fast 2 Furious and Sin City, always as a tough bad-ass.<\/p>\n

However, she won’t be the first member of her family to appear on the CW superhero drama.<\/strong> Her brother, Steve Aoki, appeared as himself back in season 1, serving as a guest DJ at Oliver’s night club Verdant.<\/p>\n

Arrow returns for season 3 on Wednesday, October 8 at 8pm on the CW.
