I learned to make drinks at the tender age of four. My late father and most of his family enjoyed Cocktail Hour quite often! I know how to make most concoctions from memory as a child! We live in a very different world today. Everyone is incredibly health conscious but those were the days of Madmen so to speak! \ud83d\ude42<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Gin Cider<\/strong>
\nIngredients:<\/strong>
\n1 1\/4 oz of dry gin
\n3 oz. of chilled apple cider
\n1 lemon wedge, squeezed
\nThin slice of apple for garnish<\/p>\n

Steps:<\/strong>
\nPour all ingredients over ice and shake vigorously
\nStrain into a martini glass and garnish with apple slice<\/p>\n

Pink Paloma<\/strong>
\nIngredients:<\/strong>
\n1 part pomegranate liqueur
\n1 part tequila
\ncitrus\/grapefruit soda
\ncandy cane for garnish<\/p>\n

Steps:<\/strong>
\nBuild over ice, stir gently, and fill with citrus soda.
\nGarnish with lime wedge<\/p>\n

Healthy Margarita<\/strong>
\nRecipe:<\/strong>
\nStart with 2 shots of aged Tequila Anejo, 1 shot of fresh squeezed limejuice, 1 shot of Triple Sec or Cointreau, and a squeeze or orange juice (preferably fresh valencia)
\nIf you or your guests are on a diet and want to avoid sugar, you can prepare “The Skinny Margarita” = 2 shots Tequila, a lot of ice and 1 whole juiced lime.
