These bars are easy to make, cost efficient and even easier to serve.  No hassle, no mess, no utensils!  I am featuring 3 types of &#8220;Grandma&#8217;s Cookie Bars&#8221; at my White Winter Wonderland Soiree.  Seven Layer Bars, Maple Walnut Blondies and Mallow Nut Fudgies!  Instructions for diabetics should contain sugar free chocolate, butterscotch and vanilla chocolate morsels or buy sugar free bars of the chocolate and chop them up into chunks.  Sugar substitutions should contain lite organic honey and sugar free maple syrup as well as other sugar free products.  \ud83d\ude42<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Seven Layer Bars<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><br \/>\n1 1\/4 cups graham cracker crumbs<br \/>\n3 tablespoons natural sugar substitute or lite organic honey<br \/>\n1\/3 cup unsalted margarine<br \/>\n1\/2 cup walnuts (or pecans), coarsely chopped<br \/>\n1 cup semisweet chocolate morsels (sugar free for diabetics)<br \/>\n1 cup butterscotch morsels (sugar free or low sugar for diabetics)<br \/>\n1 cup all natural coconut flakes<br \/>\n1 (14-oz) can sweetened light condensed milk<\/p>\n<p><strong>Steps<\/strong><br \/>\nPreheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Prepare graham cracker crust (using sugar substitute and butter) following package instructions. Press mixture into bottom of 9-inch square baking dish.<br \/>\nChop walnuts. Layer crust evenly with chocolate morsels, butterscotch morsels, coconut, and walnuts. Drizzle condensed milk evenly over top. Bake 30 minutes.<br \/>\nCool completely in pan (or chill 30 minutes) before cutting into bars. Serve.<br \/>\n<strong>Yield = 24 Bars<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Maple Walnut Blondies<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><br \/>\n1\/2 cup unsalted margarine, softened<br \/>\nNonstick aluminum foil<br \/>\n1 1\/2 cups of sugar free maple syrup<br \/>\n1 teaspoon baking powder<br \/>\n1 teaspoon kosher salt<br \/>\n2 eggs (or 1\/2 cup egg substitute)<br \/>\n1 teaspoon vanilla extract<br \/>\n1 1\/2 cups all-purpose flour or Quinoa flour, or Soy flour<br \/>\n1 1\/2 cups white baking morsels (sugar free)<br \/>\n1 cup chopped walnuts<\/p>\n<p><strong>Steps:<\/strong><br \/>\nPreheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Cut butter into small pieces; place in large bowl to soften. Line 9-inch square baking dish with foil.<br \/>\nAdd syrup to butter; blend with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add baking powder, salt, eggs, syrup, and vanilla; beat mixture well.<br \/>\nGradually add flour, beating at low speed after each addition. Stir in morsels and walnuts. Spread batter evenly into baking dish. Bake 35\u201340 minutes or until golden and center is set.<br \/>\n<strong>Yield = 24 Bars<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mallow Nut Fudgies<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><br \/>\n4 tablespoons unsalted margarine<br \/>\n1 (12-oz) bag semisweet chocolate morsels (sugar free)<br \/>\n2 cups white chocolate &#038; peppermint pretzel crisps, coarsely crushed (sugar free for diabetics = buy the items separately and make your own peppermint pretzel crisps or simply omit that ingredient)<br \/>\n1 cup shelled pistachios, coarsely chopped<br \/>\n2 cups mini marshmallows (plain or holiday)<br \/>\n2 sheets wax paper<\/p>\n<p><strong>Steps:<\/strong><br \/>\nPreheat medium saucepan on medium-high 2\u20133 minutes. Place butter in pan; cook and stir until melted. Reduce heat to low; stir in chocolate morsels until melted. Remove pan from heat; let stand 5 minutes to cool. Meanwhile, crush pretzels and pistachios.<br \/>\nCombine chocolate, marshmallows, pretzels, and pistachios until blended.<br \/>\nShape dough into 2 (9- x 2-inch) rolls, using wax paper to form rolls. Wrap rolls in wax paper and chill 1 hour or until firm.<br \/>\nCut into 1\/2-inch thick slices, using serrated knife. Keep chilled until ready to serve.<br \/>\n<strong>Yield = 36 Bars<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Arrange the bars on pretty plates with silver or gold chargers.  If you own a 3 tier dessert stand, even better!
