In December, Julia Morley, Chairwoman of the Miss World contest, announced the decision to discontinue the bikini round, saying that \u2018it doesn\u2019t do anything for the woman’.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Former Miss World Aishwarya Rai is happy about the decision. She also admits that in 1994, when she had won the crown, she herself did not have the fittest beach body.<\/p>\n

According to Indian media reports, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan said, \u201cWhen I became Miss World, I was definitely not the best beach body of all the 87 contestants. I can vouch for it. I can put a stamp on it. And yet I won the title. People believe that this (swimwear round) is an imperative round and this becomes the deciding factor. That\u2019s not true\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cGetting the \u2018Miss Perfect 10\u2019 title was not only about literally your physicality, it was all about how you presented yourself, your confidence and so much else that went with it,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Bollywood eternal beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has represented India on many platforms. After a short career break, she will soon return to the big screen with her upcoming movie ‘Jazbaa’.<\/strong>
