California Attorney General Kamala Harris says the legalization of marijuana in the Golden State is inevitable.<\/p>\n
Harris, a Democrat told BuzzFeed News she is not opposed to the legalization of marijuana, adding \u201cI’m the top cop, and so I have to look at it from a law enforcement perspective and a public safety perspective.\u201d<\/p>\n
Colorado and Washington have already legalized marijuana, and Harris said it could only be a matter of time before California does the same.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think there’s a certain inevitability about it,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Harris’ background may have something to do with her attitude toward marijuana.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don’t have any moral opposition to it or anything like that. Half my family’s from Jamaica,\u201d Harris reportedly said with a laugh.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
