Long Story Short<\/b>, a documentary written by Purchase College Alumna Jodi Long and directed by Academy Award nominee Christine Choy, follows a couple, Larry and Trudie Leung, a husband and wife nightclub act in their rise and struggles as Asian American performers before and after World War II. Narrated by their daughter, Jodi Long, and combining a family story with show business history and the ravages of racism, it is a story of pain, passion and perseverance. <\/p>\n
A native New Yorker, Long made her Broadway debut at age seven in Nowhere to Go But Up, directed by Sidney Lumet. Since graduating from Purchase College’s Conservatory of Theatre Arts & Film with a degree in acting, Long has since appeared in films, on television and on Broadway. Her credits include Patty Hearst, Striking Distance, The Hot Chick, All American Girl and the Broadway revival of the Flower Drum Song. Most recently, Long was seen in HBO’s Sex and the City and ABC’s Cashmere Mafia and Eli Stone.<\/i> <\/p>\n
