It was actually nice to see an Asian American holding an Emmy. Mark Jocson<\/b> of Disney was proud to hold his Emmy but seemed a bit shy to pose. We actually weren't sure what he won it for. Sad commentary though was when he told the photogs who he was, he totally Americanized the pronunciation of his last name to Jock Son instead of the actually pronunciation of huck son. That is just like a Latino saying my last name is Martin ez instead of mar tee nez. Oh well, we as Asian Americans still have a long road to visibility on mainstream television and being proud of our ethnic heritage which includes emphasizing the unique sounds of our last names. <\/p>\n
